L. Rebecca Hann will become vice president for budget and planning at Cornell, effective Jan. 16, following Executive Committee approval on Jan. 12. Hann has served as interim vice president since June 1, 2025, and previously was associate dean for administration and finance at the ILR School. Responsibilities include managing university resources, leading the annual budgeting process for Ithaca, Cornell Tech, and Cornell AgriTech, coordinating budgeting with Weill Cornell Medicine leaders, and leading institutional research and capital planning. Hann joined the ILR School in 2022 and previously held budget and planning roles at Syracuse University.
