Johns Hopkins University will eliminate tuition, fees and living expenses for Homewood campus undergraduates from families earning less than $100,000 annually, and will waive tuition for families with incomes up to $200,000. Most families with incomes up to $250,000 will continue to qualify for significant financial aid, and families with incomes above $250,000 may still qualify, particularly when multiple children attend college simultaneously. The new aid levels take effect for eligible current students in the spring 2026 semester and for incoming students the following fall. Since Michael Bloomberg's $1.8 billion 2018 gift, the share of Pell-eligible students rose from 15.4% to 24.1%.
