Goldsmiths, University of London will sign a 10-year lease on Catford's Old Town Hall and base more than 600 students at the new campus. The university was founded in 1891 and is known for arts, design and creative disciplines. Work to prepare the Old Town Hall will begin later this year, with current services relocated. The move aims to increase energy, business and footfall in Lewisham town centre and support Catford’s regeneration. The campus is intended to anchor creativity, learning and opportunity, support local businesses, attract visitors and open opportunities for residents.
