Jenny Roberts is the only New York law dean with a background as a clinical professor, combining pedagogy and practice in leadership. She leads Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law and builds on core strengths in criminal, family, and immigration law while developing technology and medical law programs tied to university resources. Her nearly 15 years at American University included leading a criminal justice clinic, supervising students on real cases, and producing scholarship on plea bargaining, misdemeanors, and collateral consequences. Clinical experience informed research and administrative roles, enabling integrated interdisciplinary opportunities with Hofstra’s science and technology programs.
