Kaiser Northern California honored with top marks for quality
""Year after year, Kaiser Permanente Northern California remains a proven industry leader in providing high-quality care to our members and patients," said Mike Bowers, FACHE, interim president of Kaiser Permanente's Northern California region. "These ratings are a testament to the dedication of our clinical care teams who aim to provide exceptional patient care that leads to improved health outcomes.""
""This recognition of clinical excellence across multiple specialties - from mental health to prenatal care -- is a direct reflection of our physicians, nurses, and care teams who consistently deliver world-class, high-value care," said Maria Ansari, MD, FACC, CEO and executive director of The Permanente Medical Group. "We take great pride in the trust our 4.6 million members place in us, and we remain committed to providing them with exceptional care and service every day.""
Kaiser Permanente Northern and Southern California earned 5 stars from the Center for Data Insights and Innovation in the 2025-26 California Health Care Quality Report Cards, becoming the only hospital health plan to receive the highest score. Ratings include behavioral and mental health, diabetes, cardiac, prenatal care, care of children, preventive care, and appropriateness of tests, treatments, and procedures. Leaders credited clinical care teams and The Permanente Medical Group for delivering high-value care to 4.6 million members. The recognition follows top grades for two Solano County hospitals in The Leapfrog Group's Fall 2025 Safety Grade.
