Israel killed 15 Palestinian paramedics and rescue workers one by one, says UN
Briefly

The UN has reported the killing of fifteen Palestinian paramedics and rescue workers by Israeli forces during a rescue operation in southern Gaza. The incident occurred on March 23, during renewed hostilities near Rafah, where the clearly marked Red Crescent vehicles were targeted. Evidence suggests at least one victim may have been detained and executed. Humanitarian leaders express outrage over the actions that led to such violations of human dignity, as the bodies were found buried in a mass grave. These events underscore the perilous conditions faced by humanitarian workers in conflict zones.
Jonathan Whittall, head of Ocha in Palestine, said: 'Seven days ago, civil defence and PRCS ambulances arrived at the scene. One by one, they were hit.'
Philippe Lazzarini stated: 'The body of our colleague killed in Rafah was retrieved yesterday, together with the aid workers from [the Palestinian Red Crescent] all of them discarded in shallow graves.'
