Beth Copeland entered senior home care after moving to Delaware to be near aging parents and stepping in to manage a Griswold Home Care territory. She transitioned the business from an independent contractor model to full employment to control hiring, training, and benefits, emphasizing equal care for caregivers and clients. Copeland purchased Delaware territories in 2019 and expanded to three territories across Delaware and Maryland. Griswold named her Franchisee of the Year in 2024 for leadership, growth, and innovation. She committed to founder Jean Griswold's principle of charging the least possible while paying caregivers the most possible. The pandemic tested assumptions about safe in-home care and shaped further innovations.
