New swimming teachers needed to help launch new Essex leisure centre
Briefly

Epping Leisure Centre is set to launch 130 swimming classes weekly in late 2025, supported by a new recruitment program for aspiring swimming teachers. The partnership between the Institute of Swimming and Places Leisure has initiated a subsidized training program, enabling trainees to qualify for just 85 instead of the typical 1,000 cost. Mathew Nicholson stated the importance of investing in quality instructors for their Learn to Swim programme. Successful trainees will be hired to instruct at the centre, encouraging local enthusiasts to consider a teaching career in swimming.
The centre will offer around 130 swimming classes per week, supported by newly trained instructors from a specialist academy.
The programme allows would-be swimming teachers to become qualified for just 85, significantly less than the usual 1,000 cost.
We are thrilled to be bringing swimming to the new Epping Leisure Centre, investing in exceptional teaching talent.
This funded training offers enthusiastic locals the chance to gain a rewarding role.
