Corrections to previously published figures were made regarding labels in figures related to HHC and HCH mice. The source data for a specific figure was corrected to reflect accurate results related to HHC data, while other labels in the Extended Data figures have been amended for clarity. Epigenetic changes in adipose tissue were discussed, some errors in references were corrected, ensuring accurate representation of findings. This includes changes in promoter and enhancer locations related to epigenetic memory.
In the version of the article initially published, in Fig. 2e and f the label HCC should have read HHC and has now been corrected.
Additionally, the Source data for this figure has been corrected because one column reflected the data for HHC mice (displayed in Extended Data Fig. 5m) and not HCH mice.
