Zoé Maghamès Peters is a Bordeaux-based self-taught illustrator with diverse heritage. Her background in social sciences influences her creative process, allowing her to explore ideas through vibrant illustrations that blend everyday symbols into abstract forms. Transitioning from ink to digital, she retains a tactile quality in her work, collaborating with notable clients like Penguin Random House, Cosmopolitan, and Bon Appetit. Her subjects often reflect her interests in food, plants, and animals, with a recent focus on perfume, allowing for poetic storytelling without direct human depictions.
"Illustration is another way for me to explore ideas," she explains.
"I naturally gravitate toward food, plants, animals, and human behaviour," she says.
"It allows for a more poetic or symbolic approach."
