Deb JJ Lee is an illustrator born in Seoul who spent most of their life on the East Coast of the United States. They earned a Bachelor's degree in Design from Carnegie Mellon University in 2018 and initially worked as a UX Designer in Silicon Valley before transitioning to illustration. Currently based in Brooklyn, their artistic practice centers on fantasy and classic Japanese animation aesthetics. Their debut graphic novel, In Limbo, was published by First Second in 2023, followed by The Other Side of Tomorrow, written by Tina Cho, released through Harper Alley in 2024. Deb JJ Lee was selected for the longlist of the 2025 Booooooom Illustration Awards.
