Rockets' Udoka after miscues: 'Consistency wins'
Briefly

In a tense Game 4 of the Western Conference playoffs, the Houston Rockets lost to the Golden State Warriors 109-106, falling to a 3-1 series deficit. Despite significant contributions from players like Alperen Sengun and Fred VanVleet, the Rockets' inconsistency plagued their performance, particularly at the free-throw line, where they missed 12 of 31 attempts. Coach Ime Udoka emphasized the need for consistency, as the team discussed their performance challenges throughout the series. VanVleet's frustration mirrored the team's struggles after losing two critical games in a row.
"Consistency wins in this series, and we've talked about that from Day 1. We have to be more consistent across the board," said Rockets coach Ime Udoka.
"We had a blowout win and other games, it's been a one-possession game, or we've had a fourth quarter lead and not played well," Udoka noted.
"These [last two] games suck," expressed VanVleet, reflecting the team's frustration after missing crucial free throws and losing to Golden State.
Houston misfired on 12 of their 31 free throw attempts, marking the most missed free throws by any team this postseason, according to ESPN Research.
