Jonathan Kuminga's lingering knee injury a mystery to Warriors: Obviously worse than we thought'
"We did live drill work, and he barely did any of that, and he's not moving well,"
"It's obviously worse than we thought."
"He's not moving that well, so I can't tell you what the outlook is, Kerr said when pressed for more details. I think JK could tell you that better than I could. He needs to feel better and be able to move better before we put him out there."
Jonathan Kuminga has missed five games with knee tendinitis and is listed day-to-day. He barely participated in live drills at practice and is not moving well, preventing a return to full speed. Training and coaching staff are evaluating his knee and may order an MRI to determine severity. Kuminga last played in the first half at San Antonio on Nov. 12 and is averaging 13.8 points and a career-high 6.6 rebounds in 12 games. This follows a 31-game absence last season after a severe ankle injury. His athleticism and rebounding have been missed during the Warriors' three-game losing skid while teammates Al Horford and Draymond Green also face injuries under evaluation.
