De'Anthony Melton tore his ACL on Nov. 12, 2024, and underwent surgery on Dec. 4. He spent 12 months rehabilitating at home and is nearing a return to NBA action. The team plans to activate him during the upcoming Eastern Conference trip. The immediate priorities are restoring his conditioning and game rhythm after limited playing time over the past year and a half. Melton projects to provide top point-of-attack perimeter defense, secondary ballhandling, off-ball scoring, and playmaking. He is versatile across shooting, playmaking, defense and basketball IQ and is a career 36.9% three-point shooter.
