Ayesha Curry did not expect Stephen Curry to become an NBA star and believed he wanted to be a high school basketball coach. She disliked being in the spotlight early in their relationship. The couple met in 2003, began dating in 2009, and married in July 2011; they have four children. Ayesha advised Stephen to stay in school instead of entering the 2009 NBA draft but later expressed relief that he declared and completed his degree. Stephen Curry averaged 24.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and six assists in the 2024-25 regular season and earned All-NBA second-team honors.
