After public awareness through social media, the fan returned, taking full responsibility and emphasizing he acted alone. The bar owner appreciated the man's courage to rectify the mistake, and the piece will be reinstated in the gallery without any legal action taken.
I want to apologize for the disrespect. I should have known right from wrong, and unfortunately, I acted with poor judgment.
It took a lot of courage to come thru today and do the right thing, Krouse said.
