Wadephul stated, 'Recognising a Palestinian state at the moment would send the wrong signal. Negotiations between Israel and Palestinians must be concluded first.'
He expressed concern about the tense situation in the West Bank, highlighting that the German government rejects Israeli settlements as illegal according to international law.
