The October 7, 2023 Hamas attack left about 1,200 dead and 251 taken hostage, constituting the largest mass slaughter of Jews since the Holocaust. Jewish people in the diaspora increasingly feel scapegoated for Israel and confront growing insecurity, fear, and public hostility in Germany.
