Aston Villa’s victory ended a 30-year trophy drought for the English club. Freiburg will still compete in Europe next season because it finished seventh in the Bundesliga. Separately, an American doctor infected with the Ebola virus was flown to Berlin for specialist treatment at Charite hospital. The Health Ministry said the patient’s immediate family, who were also in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, would be allowed to join him at the clinic.
