"Police officers met the train at the station in the town of Thuebingen and opened the parcel. The owner came and collected her spiders that same day. According to Stuttgart police, contacted by AFP, the incident did not disrupt rail traffic and the distracted passenger will not face charges."
"This is not the first time that tarantulas, which are not native to central Europe, have turned up in surprising places in Germany and surrounding regions. In 2018 a man in North Rhine-Westphalia reportedly discovered one when he opened up his mailbox."
