Palla joined Deutsche Bahn in 2019, served as CFO of DB Fernverkehr, and since 2022 has overseen DB Regio, guiding a successful turnaround. The transition follows an August agreement to end Lutz’s contract early after implementing the Strong Rail strategy and initiating the S3 restructuring program.
