"Germany's Dresden State Art Collections (Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, or SKD) experienced a cyberattack on Jan. 21, according to a statement from The Saxon State Minister for Culture and Tourism. SKD is among the oldest museum networks in Europe and contains 15 museums. "Large parts" of the organization's digital infrastructure were impacted, as per the ministry's statement. However, its security system was not affected and remains fully functional, including physical and technical security."
"At this time, SKD remains open to visitors. However, digital and telephone services are "severely limited." Visitor services and online shopping are likewise unavailable. "It is not yet possible to predict when all affected systems will be restored," the statement asserts. Specialists are currently working on remediation and reconstruction . An internal crisis team has been established at this time. Furthermore, SKD is cooperating with the Dresden Police Department as well as the Saxon State Office of Criminal Investigation to investigate this matter."
