Version 4.3, The Lethe Below the Living, launches on June 1 for all players. The update adds a new chapter to the Planarcadia arc and reveals more about Mortenax Blade, the Trailblazer, and the husk of the Aeon. Mortenax Blade becomes the chapter’s hero and enters the World in Canvas to borrow Voracity’s power, excise Shuhu from his body, and end the curse. The Trailblazer travels to Inkford Hermitage to warn Graphia about the Asat Pramad threat. The new playable character, Mortenax Blade, is a 5-Star Fire-Type Nihility swordsman whose Ultimate deploys a Bounded Field to increase enemy damage and unlock a stronger Ultimate via a Sword Formation. His kit also applies debuffs to enemies hit by allies and generates Charge for his Skill. The update includes the Gift of Tempered Blade event for a free Trailblazer Outfit piece after obtaining Mortenax Blade, reruns Yao Guang, Cyrene, and Phainon, and adds a customizable Wispae Amusement Park within the World in Canvas.

"While the field is active, all enemies receive more DMG. Entering this state is also how Blade unlocks his skill, which uses a Sword Formation to deal more damage. This is then used to essentially unlock a second, more powerful Ultimate for him. The benefits of Mortenax Blade's kit extend to his teammates, too. Any ally who attacks an enemy with him on the team, they inflict a debuff on them. This also builds up a special Charge that Blade can later use with his Skill."
