Gay wrestler becomes the oldest man to take part in a match at 84
"It was a fantastic feeling and it's truly fabulous to be a Guinness World Record breaker."
"It was hard work in that ring, they're all young and very enthusiastic, you've got to keep them under control, under manners."
"But it was like turning the clock back being out there in front of so many people, it was electric, the roar of the crowd was incredible."
Kendo Nagasaki, real name Peter Thornley, wrestled at age 84 for LDN Wrestling in Croydon on 23 November and sought a Guinness World Record as the oldest male professional wrestler. The elimination trios match, titled "The Final End of the Feud," paired Thornley, Ben Nelson and Jordan Nelson against Sage Valentine, Stevie Fee and Sanjay Bagga; Thornley scored the deciding pinfall after persuading Fee to his side. The appearance marked Nagasaki's final in-ring outing and followed a 2024 match used to claim the British and European oldest male professional wrestling record. He described the match as physically demanding and praised the electric crowd reaction.
