Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition is headed to global markets with a different name
"If you've been wondering whether the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition (or Xiaomi 17 Ultra by Leica) is headed to international markets, we have some good news for you. The answer is yes, and this was recently confirmed by its certification in Thailand by NBTC. That has revealed that it's going to be offered under a different name though: it will be called Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi."
"The Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi has the model number 25128PNA1G as revealed by the aforementioned certification, and a prototype with this model number has now been spotted in the Geekbench AI database. This confirms that it's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC just like its Chinese counterpart, and will have 16GB of RAM. It will unsurprisingly run Android 16 from day one, undoubtedly with Xiaomi's HyperOS 3 on top."
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition will be released internationally under the name Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi following NBTC certification in Thailand. Leica appears to have replaced its Japan-exclusive Leitz Phone line with a Leica-branded version of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The international model carries model number 25128PNA1G and a Geekbench AI entry shows Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 16GB RAM. The device ships with Android 16 and Xiaomi's HyperOS 3. The Leica-branded variant is pricier than the standard Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China, and a global launch is rumored for February 28.
