Weekly poll: the Realme GT 8 Pro is here, are you getting one?
"The Realme GT 8 Pro uses the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and that is not the only upgrade over the GT 7 Pro. The screen is sharper (6.79" 1440p+, 144Hz vs. 6.78" 1264p+, 120Hz), the battery is bigger (7,000mAh vs. 6,500mAh) and the camera is better. The 3x/65mm telephoto camera now has a large 1/1.56" 200MP sensor (Samsung HP5)."
"The Ricoh GR mode is cool for fans of street photography, though we found it a bit limiting. The replaceable camera island is a gimmick, which some might find fun (and others can just ignore). The important thing is that the camera hardware produced excellent results with only minor complaints - this is excellent for something that costs a lot less than an all-out flagship like the Oppo Find X9 Pro."
The Realme GT 8 Pro pairs the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a sharper 6.79" 1440p+ 144Hz display and a larger 7,000mAh battery. Camera upgrades include a 1/1.56" 200MP Samsung HP5 sensor for the 3x/65mm telephoto and a 50MP ultra-wide, replacing last year’s smaller sensors. Ricoh GR mode targets street photography while a replaceable camera island offers playful customization. The chipset is fast though the GPU benefits from additional cooling. Battery life ranks very high, and pricing positions the phone as strong value compared with pricier flagships like the Oppo Find X9 Pro and vivo X300 Pro.
