vivo X300 Pro camera samples posted, showing off the capabilities of the main and tele cameras
"Vivo has been teasing the camera upgrades that are coming to the X300 series, which will be unveiled on October 13. The latest teaser is a series of photos taken at the Changchun Air Show, which show off the zoom capabilities of the vivo X300 Pro. Here are some photos shot with the main camera - it has a 24mm lens and an f/1.57 aperture."
"It probably has an 85mm lens (that was the case with the X200 Pro), beyond that are various levels of digital zoom. vivo X300 Pro camera samples: 50mm * 85mm * 136mm What happened with that 85mm shot? The cockpit of the plane in the background looks funky. At higher zoom levels, you can see the telltale signs of upscaling, but even the 728mm shot (that should be 30x magnification) doesn't have the weirdness of that 85mm image."
vivo will unveil the X300 series on October 13 and released photos from the Changchun Air Show demonstrating zoom performance. The main camera uses a 24mm lens with an f/1.57 aperture, producing 24mm and 50mm framed shots. A telephoto module appears to provide an 85mm equivalent and higher magnifications via digital zoom, with sample focal lengths shown as 50mm, 85mm, 136mm, 400mm, 600mm, and 728mm. An 85mm image showed visible artifacting around a cockpit, while some higher-zoom images exhibited upscaling signs but avoided the same artifact. A Zeiss 2.35x teleconverter kit will extend zoom, adding snapshot and portrait modes.
