The vivo X Fold5 launches as the successor to the X Fold3 and X Fold3 Pro, combining features of the vanilla and Pro versions. The device is thinner and lighter than the previous model, measuring 9.2mm when folded and 224 grams in weight. It includes IP58/IP59+ dust protection. Both display screens have similar specifications and high peak brightness. The camera system features a redesigned main camera with a brighter lens, while the battery has increased to 6,000mAh. A custom button has been added for toggling sound modes and activating the flash.
The vivo X Fold5 is thinner at 9.2mm compared to its predecessor's 11.2mm when folded and lighter at 224 grams versus 236 grams.
The vivo X Fold5 features better dust protection with an IP rating of IP58/IP59+ than its predecessor, which had no official dust protection.
Both the cover and inner screens of the X Fold5 are LTPO 120Hz 10-bit panels, with the cover screen reaching a peak brightness of 5,500 nits.
