Valve unveiled new gaming hardware including Steam Frame, a virtual reality headset that handles VR and non-VR games and brings Android titles directly to Steam. Valve will support and encourage developers to bring Android apps to Steam and will provide a Steam Frame developer kit for teams that already use Android APKs for apps and mobile VR headsets. Steam Frame uses an Arm-based Qualcomm Snapdragon chip to run Android apps natively, enabling easy access to Android games and VR apps. Valve also announced a Steam Machine for living-room PC gaming and a new Steam Controller; pricing has not been disclosed.
