The tool captures insects safely and allows release outdoors without harming them. Its secure design prevents captured insects from falling out and supports easy handling. The device accommodates relatively large spiders (around an inch in length) and remains effective despite small size concerns. Children as young as four can use the tool unassisted, making it suitable for supervised educational play with toddlers. The tool reduces the need to squash bugs, avoiding mess and keeping users at a comfortable distance from large or unpleasant arthropods. It can also act as an insect deterrent in garages while providing close-up observation opportunities.
I love this thing! I caught a spider last night and was able to easily relocate it outside without harming it. It's secure (the insect won't fall out), easy, and a great design! Highly recommended.
I actually got to play along with this one. My two year old grandson and I had a lot of fun picking up bug and checking them out. Doesn't harm the bugs and they can be released afterwards. Very easy for a four year old to use unassisted.
SO much better than smushing. I hate spiders and anything else creepy and crawly as much as the next person but squishing them usually means you then have to clean up after. In Washington State, with some of the big boys we get out here, it can look like a crime scene. I don't capture and release them because I care about their stupid spider feelings, I do it because I hate cleaning. I feel like this could be optimized a bit more and a future version will be far better to use but in the meantime, this does a fine job. Lets me keep my distance from the scary *****s as I gather them and then fling them into the yard.
Grandkids love it! This works out really well when you want a safe, close up look of an insect. It also seems to work as an insect deterrent. As soon as I received this I wanted to test it out before the grandkids came over and all the bugs in my garage were gone! We eventually found one to look at!
