"Cove is a concept desk set that addresses this visual fatigue by bringing vacation elements to the desk. The collection includes three pieces: a lamp shaped like a rising sun, a card holder that mimics ocean waves, and a coin bank styled like a sandcastle. Together, they create a small ecosystem of beach-inspired objects. The design aims to make desks feel less utilitarian and more personal."
"The lamp stands out with its glowing circular face and curved orange support. The circular head can slide up and down the arc, allowing users to adjust its position throughout the day. Raising it in the morning signals the start of work. Lowering it in the evening creates a visual boundary between professional and personal time. The interaction turns a simple gesture into a daily ritual."
"The cardholder borrows its shape from rolling waves. Layered teal forms create natural slots for business cards, notes, and reminders. The design adds vertical movement to what's usually a flat surface. A clip attachment on the front holds to-do lists in place. The wave structure organizes desk items while maintaining the collection's coastal theme without being too literal about it."
Workspaces have become monotonous landscapes of black keyboards, white monitors, and gray storage bins. Most desk accessories prioritize function, leaving little room for visual interest or emotional connection. Cove is a concept desk set that brings vacation elements to the desk: a rising-sun lamp, a wave-shaped card holder, and a sandcastle coin bank. Designers Yunseo Jung, Dayoung Yoon and Gayeon Kim created a beach-inspired ecosystem to make desks feel more personal. The lamp's sliding circular head creates a ritual of raising it in the morning and lowering it at night. The card holder adds vertical movement and organization. The coin bank invites tactile engagement with a sliding flag and a removable lid secured by silicone stoppers.
