"Last year I covered the super-rugged Elecom Nestout 5000N power bank. I put that to the test by trying to break it, caveman style, with a brick, and, well, it didn't break. In fact, I'm still using it. I was so impressed that I got myself a few more bits from the Elecom line to test -- the Nestout 10000N 10,000mAh power bank and the Nestout Flash-1 lantern."
"The Flash-1 is an LED light that can be screwed to the top of a Nestout power bank, and it comes with a tripod that fits on the bottom. The light is adjustable from 30 lumens to 1,000 lumens using an adjuster on the side that reminds me of gas lanterns. The intensity knob works and feels like the adjuster on a gas lantern. The Nestout 10000N is a 36Wh rugged power bank housed in a tough polycarbonate shell resembling a water or fuel bottle. It provides up to 20W USB-C output (18W input) and a 12W USB-A port, with ports sealed by a screw-down cap to achieve an IP67 rating. A 1/4-20 threaded adapter on the bottom accepts tripod mounts and enables integration with the Flash-1 lantern. The Flash-1 offers adjustable brightness from 30 to 1,000 lumens, a side adjuster that mimics gas-lantern controls, and a separate color-temperature button. The Nestout line has shown exceptional physical durability and reliable performance during an extended blackout.
