"Parents know the importance of a good stroller fan for keeping little ones cool in hot weather, but most options on the market have blades that you don't want toddlers, especially, trying to stick things into. Enter Baby FuFu from Tokyo-based robotics startup Yukai, a portable, bladeless fan designed for babies and toddlers to safely play with while staying cool, unveiled at CES 2026."
"Baby FuFu looks like a plastic bear toy with an air stream coming out of its mouth. The blades are fully enclosed behind a slit plate, so even babies can safely handle it -- even if they try to put a finger inside the bear's mouth. Kids can either hold it to fan themselves, or parents can wrap the arms and legs around a stroller handle,"
"While there are other bladeless fans on the market, none are ones that babies and young kids can handle themselves in a toy-like form. "Baby FuFu grew out of Nekojita FuFu fans' feedback that their children love not only cooling their food with it but also playing with it, pretending to fan their faces and blow-dry their hair," Yukai Engineering CEO Shunsuke Aoki said in a press release."
Baby FuFu is a portable, bladeless cooling fan designed for babies and toddlers to safely handle and play with while staying cool. The design resembles a plastic bear with an air stream emerging from its mouth; blades are fully enclosed behind a slit plate to prevent fingers from reaching moving parts. Children can hold the device themselves or parents can wrap its arms and legs around a stroller handle to position airflow toward a child. Users can press a button to choose between three airflow strengths. Yukai Engineering plans to launch the product later this year with a price range of $50–$60.
