The Totem Compass resolves the common issue of lost phone service at festivals by using GNSS and its Unity Mesh Network to track friends. It helps users find each other even when traditional phone networks fail, an increasing problem at electronic dance music festivals. Each device is small, portable, yet effective in directing users to their pals in crowded environments. While traditional totems are popular, the Totem Compass offers a convenient alternative that avoids the challenges of physical signs being cumbersome or even banned at some events.
The device uses the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and its own Unity Mesh Network to help track down your friends even if your phone has no cell service or Wi-Fi.
Each Totem compass is a little 2.3-inch plastic puck with a glowing 'Touch Crystal' that directs you to your fellow Totem-wielding friends.
