"MSI is announcing a new Stealth 16 AI Plus gaming laptop for CES 2026. Borrowing a little from its business-class brethren, the new Stealth has a thinner and lighter design, features a larger trackpad, and comes standard with a 240Hz OLED display (though some global regions may start with IPS). It'll run $2,099 with an Intel Panther Lake processor and Nvidia RTX 5060 GPU (configurations go up to an RTX 5090), and it's due out in March."
"The GPUs in the Stealth are throttled to 100W, as this laptop prioritizes a thin chassis to appeal to creators and everyday users instead of aiming purely for gaming performance. So it makes sense that the Stealth is stealthier, in case you want to do some work at a cafe or on the go. But maybe turn off the four-zone RGB lighting if you want to actually be discreet."
"It may be just 19.9mm at its thickest point, but the Stealth 16 AI Plus manages to cram in two internal DDR5 RAM slots, two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD slots, a 90Wh battery (smaller than the current 99Wh one), plenty of ports, and even ethernet. It seemed an impressive package during my short in-person demo, but we'll have to see if it can give the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 a run for its money."
The Stealth 16 AI Plus uses a thinner, lighter chassis with a larger trackpad and a standard 240Hz OLED display, with some regions receiving IPS panels. It ships with Intel Panther Lake processors and Nvidia RTX 50-series GPUs, starting at $2,099 with an RTX 5060 and scaling up to RTX 5090 configurations. GPU power is capped at 100W to prioritize a thin design and quieter operation aimed at creators and everyday users rather than peak gaming performance. The laptop is 19.9mm at its thickest point and includes two DDR5 RAM slots, two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 x4 SSD slots, a 90Wh battery, multiple ports, and Ethernet. The device will be available in March.
