Samsung's Galaxy S26 series may ape the iPhone 17's biggest design change
"At least one phone in Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 range may look a little different to what we were expecting, and a lot more like Apple's iPhone 17 series. That's going by a photo of dummy phones shared by leaker and journalist Sonny Dickson, who has a pretty good track record for sourcing accurate Apple and Samsung phone designs."
"While both the S26 and S26 Ultra feature slight design changes to include a small camera island around the main lenses, the middle phone is far stranger, with a camera bump that goes all the way across the phone. It's a weird design, made a little less weird for the fact that we've seen something like it before: in images of the upcoming iPhone 17 range (including some shared by Dickson)."
"We'll find out for sure if that design is real at Apple's iPhone launch next Tuesday, but will probably have to wait until January to see the S26 line. In the meantime, Samsung today announced the S25 FE and Tab S11."
A photo of dummy phones suggests one Galaxy S26 model will have an unusual camera bump that spans the width of the rear. Three devices appear in the image, consistent with Galaxy S26, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra naming, with reports indicating the Plus model may be replaced by a thin follow-up to the S25 Edge. The S26 and S26 Ultra show modest changes with small camera islands around the main lenses, while the middle device features the full-width camera bar. Similar across-the-back camera styling has appeared in iPhone 17 images. Samsung announced the S25 FE and Tab S11 today.
