Samsung unveils Galaxy Book6 series laptops with Intel's latest 18A processors
"Samsung brought its latest Galaxy Book6 series of laptops to CES - they are powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, the first on the Intel 18A node (this is a 1.8nm class node). The new processors, along with a much-improved cooling system, help the 2026 laptops run longer and cooler. There are three models in the series: vanilla, Pro and Ultra. The Ultra is available only in 16" size, while the other two offer a choice between 14" and 16" displays."
"The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro and Galaxy Book6 Ultra feature Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreens. They can adjust their frame rate between 30Hz and 120Hz to match the content (animation, video, gaming). Gorilla Glass with DXC combines drop and scratch resistance with anti-reflective coating - surface reflections are reduced by up to 75%. The display carries a True Bright 1300 certification and True Black 0.0005 nits. For SDR content, you will get up to 500 nits, while peak brightness for HDR is up to 1,000 nits."
"The Intel Core Ultra 3 series has up to 16 cores (P and E cores) that promise up to 60% higher CPU performance than the previous generation. This is combined with a 50 TOPS NPU. The Samsung Galaxy Book6 Ultra can be configured with a Core Ultra X9, 9, X7 or 7 series processor. While they have decently capable Intel Arc GPUs (70% faster than the previous generation), you can also grab an Nvidia GPU - a GeForce RTX 5060 or 5070 with 8GB of GDDR7."
Samsung released the Galaxy Book6 series featuring Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors built on the Intel 18A (1.8nm class) node and enhanced cooling for longer, cooler operation. The lineup includes three models: vanilla, Pro and Ultra, with 14" and 16" size options and the Ultra offered only in 16". The Pro and Ultra models use Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreens with 30–120Hz variable refresh and Gorilla Glass with DXC for reduced reflections and high HDR/SDR brightness. The Core Ultra 3 series supports up to 16 cores and a 50 TOPS NPU. GPU options include faster Intel Arc or optional Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060/5070. RAM and storage configurations range from LPDDR5X and multi-terabyte PCIe SSDs, with expansion slots on select models. The base Galaxy Book6 uses a 350-nit IPS LCD and is available in 14" and 16" sizes.
