Samsung released a short social-media ad that playfully targets iPhones for not being foldable, using the line "From "no shirt" to "new shirt" with #GalaxyAI on #GalaxyZFold7." The ad showcases the Galaxy Z Fold7's foldable form factor and promotes Galaxy AI features. Observers note the jab may age poorly if Apple ships a folding iPhone, possibly with a Samsung-made folding display. Samsung currently retains the ability to tout the Fold7's folding capability versus the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The Fold7's Sketch to Image tool from the Galaxy AI suite receives visible demonstration and attention.
Samsung has a new ad out on its social media accounts. It's a short one and it's all about poking fun at iPhones for not being foldable. Take a look: From "no shirt" to "new shirt" with #GalaxyAI on #GalaxyZFold7. Sure, this will age badly in a year or so when Apple does eventually get around to releasing its first folding smartphone (which is rumored to use a Samsung-made folding display, to make things even funnier), but until then the Korean company gets to brag that the Galaxy Z Fold7 folds and the iPhone 16 Pro Max doesn't.
The Fold7's Sketch to Image functionality, part of the Galaxy AI suite, also gets some pretty good screen time, and it's undoubtedly a nice to have feature in its own right. If you want to learn more about Samsung's latest book-style foldable, check out our full review of the Galaxy Z Fold7 here.
