"The affected Bike Plus units were sold between January 2020 and April 2025, and were manufactured in Taiwan from 2019 to 2022. The bikes were sold both from Peloton directly, and through third-party retailers like Dick's Sporting Goods, eBay, and Amazon. To check whether your Bike Plus is affected, it should have the model number PL02 and serial numbers beginning with "T." As a remedy, Peloton is offering a free redesigned seat post replacement that owners can install themselves."
"The recall does not affect the new Bike Plus Cross Training series, which launched in October. "The integrity of our products and our Members' well-being are our top priorities. We are taking this opportunity to make replacement seat posts available to all affected Bike Plus users and we encourage them to contact us to receive the redesigned seat post as soon as possible," Peloton spokesperson Kath McDonald tells The Verge."
