Our Poco F8 Pro video review is now out
"Poco made a big splash in late November, launching the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra in Bali, a mere eight months after their predecessors. This is an unusual launch timeline to say the least, but the brand felt like it couldn't wait any longer, and it wanted its new Ultra to be among the first devices on the market using Qualcomm's latest top of the line chip, and not among the last like the F7 Ultra was."
"It comes with last year's top chip, sure, but the Snapdragon 8 Elite is definitely no slouch even today. And while the F8 Pro doesn't have the Ultra's subwoofer and 2.1 audio system, its speakers are still tuned by Bose, and there are three proper cameras on the back, even though the ultrawide is a disappointing 8MP. But there's a telephoto there too now, unlike what the F7 Pro had to offer, and the battery has grown somewhat too."
Poco launched the F8 Pro and F8 Ultra in Bali only eight months after their predecessors. The launch aimed to place the Ultra among the first devices with Qualcomm's latest top chip rather than arriving late. The F8 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite, a high‑performance chip from the prior year. The F8 Pro lacks the Ultra's subwoofer and 2.1 audio system but retains Bose‑tuned speakers. The phone features three rear cameras, including a new telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide, and it has a larger battery compared with the previous model. Early‑bird pricing makes the F8 Pro competitively priced.
