OnePlus Turbo 6 and 6V unveiled with 9,000mAh batteries, 80W fast charging
"The battery is probably the smartphone component that is improving the fastest - OnePlus just unveiled a pair of phones with 9,000mAh batteries. And we're not talking about brick-sized phones here, the two measure 8.5mm thick and weigh 215g. The OnePlus Turbo 6 and the Turbo 6V are very similar devices. The 6 is the more premium model with a base price of CNY 2,300 (for a 12/256GB unit), while the 6V is more affordable and starts at CNY 1,900 (8/256GB). We have more detailed pricing for China at the bottom. Note that there is an early bird discount that drops these prices by CNY 200."
"The key difference is that the OnePlus Turbo 6 is built for performance. It's powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and has a number of helper chips in tow. The Fengchi Game Kernel helps push games up to 165fps to match the display's frame rate. There's also the G1 Wi-Fi enhancement chip, plus one chip to deal with touch controls (up to 330Hz touch sampling rate). OnePlus Turbo 6 in Silver, Black and Green The OnePlus Turbo 6V uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 instead and while it does have the touch chip, it lacks the other two. It also has a massive vapor chamber and several heat-spreading layers like its pricier sibling."
"That said, the Turbo 6 is clearly the high performance model as its more powerful chipset is paired with faster memory. It has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The 6V has up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Both phones have 6.78" OLED displays with 1272p+ resolution and 10-bit colors. The Turbo 6 panel features ProXDR, HDR Vivid and Xreal certifications. It has the higher refresh rate at 165Hz, though the 6V display is no slouch at 144Hz. Both peak at 1,800 nits brightness and offer DC dimming, as well as 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM. Let's take a moment to gawk at the impressive batteries inside these two - their capacity is 9,000mAh and they support 80W SuperVOOC charging"
OnePlus introduced the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V smartphones with unusually large 9,000mAh batteries in slim 8.5mm, 215g bodies. The Turbo 6 targets performance with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, helper chips for gaming, Wi‑Fi and touch, faster LPDDR5X RAM up to 16GB, and UFS 4.1 storage. The Turbo 6V uses a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, fewer helper chips, LPDDR4X up to 12GB and UFS 3.1 storage, but retains a large vapor chamber for cooling. Both phones feature 6.78" OLED 1272p+ displays with high refresh rates (165Hz/144Hz), 1,800 nits peak brightness, DC dimming, high-frequency PWM, and 80W SuperVOOC charging.
