PS5 system software Version 25.07-12.20.00 enables users to view the serial number of the console and DualSense wireless controllers connected by USB or Bluetooth. Console serial numbers are available at Settings > System > System Software > Console Information. DualSense controller serials are available at Settings > Accessories > General > Advanced Settings > View Serial Number. The update also updates DualSense Edge device software to improve stability, improves messages and usability on certain screens, and enhances overall system performance and stability. This represents the second PS5 firmware update in October. 2025 has otherwise been light on major PS5 changes, with returns of classic UIs and iterative activity-setting updates alongside 30th-anniversary merchandise releases.
