More details about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra's cameras leak
"Xiaomi has already launched the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max, but of course there's still one member missing from its latest flagship family - the 17 Ultra. It's unclear exactly when this phone will be made official, but for reference note that the 15 Ultra (Xiaomi skipped the number 16 in order to match Apple's product naming scheme) got official this February. Today some more details about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra's cameras have been outed in China."
"According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the 17 Ultra will come with a new 50 MP main camera that supports better in-sensor zoom across more zoom levels, in fact bringing that capability almost to the focal length of the periscope zoom camera. Speaking of which, this will be a new camera too, with 200 MP resolution, telephoto macro capabilities, and multi-focal lossless zoom. The same source also says the dynamic range of these two new cameras will be very high."
Launch timing for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra remains unclear, following the 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max releases. The device is expected to sport a 50 MP main camera with improved in-sensor zoom covering more focal lengths and a new 200 MP periscope telephoto that adds telephoto macro capability and multi-focal lossless zoom. Both new cameras are expected to deliver very high dynamic range. Rumors suggest a total of four rear cameras, with three 50 MP sensors plus the periscope. Rear secondary screen inclusion is uncertain due to larger camera modules occupying additional space.
