Miss your landline? Verizon's new Family Line lets 5 phones share one number
"Technology is a powerful force for connection, but we know families are seeking a better balance," Verizon Consumer CEO Sowmyanarayan Sampath said in a news release. "The Verizon Family Plus Perk and the Family Line feature are a direct answer to that need. We're empowering parents with an intuitive new tool to set boundaries and give their families a secure, dedicated number for communication, fostering a healthier digital relationship from the start."
"Available with a new monthly add-on called , the Family Line feature assigns you a single number to share across up to five smartphones. Every Verizon Family Plus user can call, answer, or join in on the same conversation. Also: Verizon will give you a free Google Pixel 10 Pro right now - how to qualify This means you can speak with a relative, a family friend, or another contact on each phone all at the same time."
Verizon launched Family Line as part of a Family Plus add-on that assigns a single shared mobile number across up to five smartphones. Linked users can call, answer, or join the same conversation from any connected phone, allowing household members to share responsibility for incoming calls. The shared number simplifies which contact to give out and helps parents stay in touch with children. Family Plus with Family Line carries an additional $10 monthly fee. Verizon is also promoting a free Google Pixel 10 Pro for qualifying customers, and the plan offers features such as GPS-based location check-ins and alerts.
