"The Lego Smart Brick won our Best in Show award at CES 2026, and it was no wonder after watching Lego designer Maarten Simons' expert demo there. So I thought: why not let you virtually attend the same tech demo I did? Before I left Las Vegas, I snuck back into Lego's suite to film a 15-minute uncut immersive video of what these bricks can do."
"To watch it on a Quest headset, you'll want to tap this video here on the website or click this YouTube link while logged into your Google account. Then, open the YouTube VR app in your headset, tap your profile pic at the upper right, and select the History tab. It should be the newest video there. For best results, tap the gear icon, and set video resolution as high as it will go (likely 2160s)."
The Lego Smart Brick won Best in Show at CES 2026. A 15-minute uncut VR180 video captures the Smart Brick in action, filmed in Lego's suite in Las Vegas. The footage was recorded with a Qoocam Q3 Ultra modded for VR180 capture, producing spatial stereoscopic 3D that works in headsets, as tap-to-drag on flat screens, or by tilting a phone. To view on a Quest, locate the uploaded video in YouTube account history and open it in the YouTube VR app, then set resolution to the highest available (likely 2160s). The file was uploaded in 8K though full resolution may not appear yet. Alternate hands-on versions exist on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. VR180 production workflow remains cumbersome, and viewer interest was requested.
