Ikea's new $4 USB-C charger is cheaper than Apple's and Anker's
"Ikea has released the most affordable version of its Sjöss USB-C chargers yet. Following an $8 30W version that launched in 2024 and a $35 65W option that debuted earlier this year, the new 20W Sjöss is now available online and through many of Ikea's physical US stores for just $3.99. That's considerably cheaper than Apple's $19 20W USB-C Power Adapter while being comparable in size, and cheaper than Anker's $11.99 Nano Pro 20W USB-C charger."
"However, Ikea's new $4 charger is much larger than Anker's, and is about 26 grams heavier. If you're a traveler trying to pack as light as possible, Anker's may be the better choice. If you're a traveler who wants to feel less guilty about forgetting their charger in a hotel room, Ikea's is cheap to replace. The 20W Sjöss doesn't come with a USB-C cable and it's only available in one light green color option."
Ikea released a 20W Sjöss USB-C charger priced at $3.99, available online and in many US stores. The 20W model follows an $8 30W version from 2024 and a $35 65W option earlier this year. The $3.99 charger is considerably cheaper than Apple's $19 20W USB-C Power Adapter and Anker's $11.99 Nano Pro 20W charger. The Ikea charger is comparable in size to Apple's adapter but is larger and about 26 grams heavier than Anker's Nano Pro. Travelers prioritizing minimal weight may prefer Anker, while those wanting an inexpensive replacement will favor Ikea. The charger omits a USB-C cable and comes only in light green, with six stickers included for personalization.
