Over six weeks, five headphone models were evaluated across airports in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and New York to assess comfort, sound, and noise cancellation during travel. The Sonos Ace stood out for exceptional comfort, relaxed clamping force, plush headband, and memory-foam earcups, enabling extended wear. Its sound is warm and dynamic with elevated bass and a slight treble bump that avoids listening fatigue. A summer software update improved active noise cancellation, noticeably reducing airport PA noise, though airplane engine rumble remained perceptible. The tested models include Sonos Ace, Sony WH-1000XM6, Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen), AirPods Pro 3, and Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones (2nd Gen).
