"While the dial is still present, it isn't functional and is only present as a signature CMF design element. The absence of the Smart Dial feature doesn't bother me since I seldom used it on the Pro model. The overall case build has a textured but slightly slippery finish. I've dropped it a couple of times because it keeps slipping out of my hands, but I haven't noticed any wear and tear due to my accidental drops."
"They have a small touch control area that recognizes taps. You can double-tap, triple-tap, tap-and-hold, and double-tap-and-hold to control the music playback, volume, and ANC. While I find swipe gestures to be more intuitive, the controls on CMF Buds 2 Plus earbuds work well... unless you're a side sleeper. The only annoying part of these earbuds is that they register fake touch input from clothes/pillow covers. As a result, you hear constant ANC on and off pings through your music when lying on your side."
The CMF Buds 2 Plus are available for $55 (30% off) for a limited time and represent strong value compared with pricier alternatives. Nothing earbuds sit above the CMF Buds Pro 2 in price and offer similar sound, better call quality, and longer battery life. The Buds 2 Plus use a square-ish case with a nonfunctional signature dial and a textured but slightly slippery finish. The earbuds are light, fit well, and support multiple tap gestures for playback, volume, and ANC. False touch inputs from clothing or pillows can trigger ANC pings when lying on a side, otherwise the earbuds are feature-rich and budget-friendly.
