Petal Maps version 5.3.0.302 enables navigation without an internet connection after users download area maps via the Offline Map Resource Package and enable the Offline Map function. The app adds an imprecise positioning mode that displays a dynamic circle of roughly 5km radius to obscure exact location and enhance privacy. Google-style approximate location support is implemented for privacy protection. In China, Tongcheng travel integration allows booking attraction tickets directly inside Petal Maps without requiring another app or website redirect. Users must prepare by downloading relevant offline map packages before journeys.
Huawei's latest update to its Google Maps alternative called Petal Maps is now out, and it brings with it a very useful new feature. Namely, you can use navigation directions without being connected to the internet. This is live as of version 5.3.0.302. Obviously, to use this you first need to download the maps for the area you're going to navigate through, which you can do using the Offline Map Resource Package.
Then you just need to enable the Offline Map function and start navigating.
