Here's how the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will fold
"Samsung is expected to unveil its first tri-folding smartphone before the end of this year, and ahead of that a new leak today purports to show us just how exactly it will fold. This is important because it won't do it in the same way as Huawei's Mate XT, the first ever tri-folding smartphone, or its recently announced successor, the Mate XTs. While those devices leave a part of the folding screen exposed, the Galaxy Z TriFold doesn't. See for yourself:"
"The disadvantage of Samsung's solution is the need for a separate cover display, but the advantage is huge and obvious: the folding screen is protected while the phone is folded, there's no direct exposure to the elements, your pocket, or the pavement should you drop the handset. Back in August we got a glimpse at what multitasking will look like on the Galaxy Z TriFold."
Samsung plans to unveil a tri-folding Galaxy Z TriFold before year-end, and a recent leak shows its unique folding mechanism. The device folds without leaving any part of the folding screen exposed by relying on a separate cover display. The separate cover display is a disadvantage but protects the folding screen from elements, pockets, and pavement. Rumored dimensions include a 6.54-inch cover screen and a 10.1-inch folding screen, with a weight of 298g. The phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Rumored launch timing places an unveiling in October and a release in November.
